Application procedure

Applicants should apply by sending the application form as well as scanned copies of the requested documents to the coordination institution (CI). Email submissions are encouraged, but submissions by regular mail are also accepted.

To apply for an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship is enough to fill section 1 of the application form.

Application deadline will be December 31, 2006 for Third-country students (other than EEA-EFTA States and candidate countries.

Applications for Third-country students will be assessed during January and February 2007. Admissions will be made by end-February. Applicants will get the Consortium's decision in the beginning of March.

The Erasmus Mundus scholarships are awarded by the Consortium, upon approval by the Education, Audiovisual & Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) and inspection of the European Parliament. The Consortium submits the proposal of scholarships to the EACEA on Feb 28, 2007. EACEA approves the proposal about mid-April. By end-may the parliament finishes its inspection and the grants are officially communicated to their beneficiaries.

Admission and grant awarding will be communicated by email. Such information will never be posted in webpages or publicly available media. Therefore, applicants should contact EMSE Secretary in case they do not receive information in the above-mentioned dates.

EEA-EFTA & candidate country students can also apply by December 31, 2006, but there will be a second period of application in 2007 (deadline July 15, 2007) for European students only. Regardless of the period of application, the admission decision will be taken in July 2007. Notice that EEA-EFTA & candidate country students are not eligible for Erasmus Mundus Scholarships.
